We love baked sweet potato fries.
I mean loooooooveee. Like can’t get my kids to eat a goddamn thing that day and I place these baked sweet potato fries in front of them and all of a sudden they become ravenous beasts kind of love. But I don’t mind. Sweet potatoes are an excellent food for young children, therefore, I encourage my littles to eat as many as possible!
My son has been a mega picky eater lately.
For the past couple of weeks it has been SO hard to get him to eat anything other than fruit and grilled “cheese”. Thankfully, he is eating a LOT in general, but at this point I feel like he is becoming an unintentional fruititarian. So, I am so thankful that I have at least one vegetable recipe that he will eat. So if you too are dealing with a picky eater right now, I can pretty much guarantee your child will eat these.
Sweet potatoes are low fat, high fibre, tons of vitamin A, C, plus calcium and iron. So yeah, go ahead kids, eat ’em up!
Plus, let’s be honest, when you have young children its hard to cook things that the whole family will enjoy. These baked sweet potato fries make an excellent side dish but also hold their own as a main with a side salad.
Try them out and let me know what you think in the comments or tag me in a post on Instagram 🙂
